Pedestrian Killed in West Palm Beach Hit-and-Run

A devastating West Palm Beach pedestrian fatality occurred in the early morning of Saturday, June 12, when a man was struck and killed in a West Palm Beach hit-and-run.

Samuel Castro, 24, of Greenacres, was crossing in the 6500 block Lake Worth Road at approximately 2:40 a.m. when he was struck by an SUV. According to onlookers, the SUV initially stopped at the scene; when more people stopped to help, however, the SUV fled the scene. The vehicle was last known to be heading south on Jog Road.
