24 Hours of LeMons

As part of The Law Team’s fundraising efforts to benefit Autism Speaks, Evan Fetterman, together with TPS (Total Performance and Service), is entering the 24 Hours of LeMons Auto Endurance Race.

What is 24 Hours of LeMons you ask? The 24 Hours of LeMons is a series of endurance races held on paved road race courses across the United States. The title is a parody of the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans series. Teams compete in race-prepared cars that cost no more than $500 (i.e., lemons) for up to 24 hours and the team that goes the furthest wins. These races set themselves apart from the typical road race by the unusual penalties and punishments meted out by judges. While some of the punishments are humorous, the event organizers have compiled a complete set of safety rules that typically are on par with other road racing sanctioning bodies, including the Sports Car Club of America and the National Auto Sports Association. Although the vehicle is required to be valued at no more than $500, participants are allowed to spare no expense when it comes to their safety by adding such items as roll cages, helmets, six point seatbelts, and flame retardant suits, most of which are required.

As a part of the season of giving, Fetterman & Associates would like to ask you to consider, making a donation to Autism Speaks based on the number of laps our team completes in the race. Simply advise us of the amount per lap you wish to pledge, or a total donation pledge, and we will let you know the total number of laps completed after the race is finished. Pledges or donation can be made by mail to our office at 648 US Highway One, North Palm Beach, FL 33408, or you can follow the link at the bottom of this page to our autism team page. And of course, if you enjoy motorsports, feel free to come and lend a hand, or simply watch and cheer us on. It’ll be a great way to bring in the New Year.
